Helicopter circling for the fourth time tonight

Still Tuesday evening and a police helicopter is circling for the 4th time tonight. I had a late meeting so I didn't get home until 8 pm. It's currently 10:50. By my sketchy math that equals over 1 helicopter circling an hour, and therefore I can only conclude that I live in the most dangerous neighborhood in America. Thanks again PPD.

  1. I am glad you started this blog. I have moved to south of Del Mar a few years back because it seemed quieter than where I lived before. But boy has that changed. Not only am I constantly chased by PPD there also seems to be a new flight corridor for commercial aircraft a few blocks south. So I am getting about 2,000 airplanes during a day and ghetto birds at night. Hard to believe that Pasadena still has the reputation for being a lovely neighborhood. Must be from people that don't live here.

  2. Thanks H. I agree that the reputation of Pasadena as having lovely neighborhoods is sadly being tarnished by the amount of helicopter noise. When the noise nuisance inevitably sours the city's reputation in the minds of non-residents, then we're likely to see some kind of action by the council.

  3. I went to the movies last night (4/21) and was escorted all the way to the ArcLight theater. I felt really privileged. At last I can see where my tax monies are going too (!irony!). When the movie was over they were waiting for me outside to bring me back home. I am NOT kidding!

  4. I knew I couldn't be the only one who is bothered by constant helicopter noise since I moved to Pasadena, just off of Del Mar in February. It's ridiculous.

I work long, hard days, and want a little peace and quiet when I get home to our otherwise lovely neighborhood. That is ruined multiple times a night. We are awoken early on weekends too. To recommendation, if you want peace and quiet, don't move to Pasadena.
