It occurred to me that another reason for the severity of the helicopter noise is that they fly much lower in Pasadena compared to elsewhere. The new "quiet knight" helicopters , which the city council has blindly put their faith in b/c some marketing guy came up with a slick name, seem to create even more vibration than the standard vietnam era copters.
So in addition to less helicopters, higher flight patterns Capt. Mulhall!
I totally agree. The police now established some sort of patrol routes that are not direct responses to 911 calls. The helicopters on these routes fly lower that in any other city I've ever been to. Sometimes it sounds like they are landing on my roof - like 2 min ago. There's got to be some law/city code that's on our side here.
